Assisted flat

Assisted flat

The Stonewall Group Association, with the support of the City of Poznań, runs an emergency flat for LGBT + people in the crisis of homelessness and exposed to violence.

Important

The support is dedicated to adult LGBT+ persons residing in Poznań:

  • without shelter due to their psychosexual orientation and gender identity (including people living in harsh and alarming conditions),
  • without a place of residence (including people who cannot stay in shelters for the homeless due to the record of sex, different from the perceived gender),
  • with unsecured accommodation (persons with precarious tenancy with an eviction order, persons at risk of violence on the basis of psychosexual orientation and gender identity).

People accommodated in the apartment are covered by an emergency recovery plan. The plan may include psychological, psychiatric, legal, mediation, support in finding employment and place of residence, support in contact with social welfare organizational units, etc. People are provided with clothing and food. The condition of accommodation in the apartment is the acceptance of its regulations.

Contact regarding accommodation in the apartment:

The decision to accommodate a person in the apartment is made by the caretaker of the intervention apartment on the basis of an initial conversation with the person concerned.
